Amy Sedaris was in Akron to promote her new book I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence. She spoke at the library and signed books afterward. The free lecture was packed, with several hundred turned away.
My wife and I were among the last people to get in. About 50 of us were allowed to sit on the stage.
We brought along Flat Stanley as a favor to a friend who is a schoolteacher in Tennessee. One of her students didn’t know anyone outside their county so we agreed to adopt Stanley for him.
